The band releases Mindfields in 1999, and then embarks on a massive worldwide tour. After a few months in Europe they come to Japan where the shows are sold out. After a short hiatus, Toto resumes their recording and release their first live album entitled Absolutely Live in 1993. The album features a cover of Weezer's song Hash Pipe as a response to the band covering Africa during their recent tour. Toto's touring group is comprised by drummer Lenny Castro, bassist Shannon Forrest and keyboardist Shem von Schroeck.
