1.2.1.05 Jobseeker payment (JSP) - description


What is JSP?


JSP is the working age payment that changed NSA from 20 March 2020.


JSP is an earnings assistance payment that supplies financial support to people aged 22 years to age pension age who have capability to work now or in the near future and prepared to satisfy shared commitment requirements.

They MAY also be entitled to the following while in receipt of JSP:


- telephone allowance (1.2.7.70).
HCC (1.2.8.10) or PCC (1.2.8.20).
LLNS (1.2.7.110) if undertaking training through the Skills for Education and Employment Program.

JSP was introduced on 20 March 2020. The following payments progressively stopped as part of the development of JSP:


- NSA (1.2.1.10) (ceased on 20 March 2020).
SA (1.2.5.30) (closed to new receivers on 20 March 2020 and stopped on 20 September 2020).
BVA (closed to brand-new receivers on 20 March 2020 and ceased when all existing receivers completed their bereavement duration).
WA (1.2.3.30) (near to brand-new receivers on 1 July 2018 and ceased on 1 January 2022).
WP (1.2.3.20) (near brand-new receivers on 1 July 1995 ceased on 20 March 2020).
